Mission: Academic Enrichment

 

The inspiration for Nas Learning Center in Syracuse comes from the need to have an educational center where children and adults can learn together. NLC empowers parents to set high academic and spiritual goals for their children in order to help them succeed. Parents are central stakeholders to this mission and their effective contribution is vital to their child's education. We support families with children in traditional school (public or private), as well as homeschooling families.

Our name comes from the Arabic word “nās,” which means “people” or "humankind." In this spirit, our safe space center is open to people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, and faiths who have a love for learning.

Our variety of services includes:

• academic support and tutoring in multiple subjects

• Sunday courses for adults and children

• learning resources, and technology access

• character education and developing critical thinking skills
