WELCOME TO OUR CENTER

NAS Learning Center is a weekend school developed for the instruction of Arabic language, Islamic History, Mathematics and critical thinking skills (Click here for our Smart CATS program)

The inspiration for the school is to have an educational center for the communities’ children and parents to learn together. 

The school’s name comes from the Arabic word “nas” which means “people”, and is open to people of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds.

The vision of Nas Learning Center is to empower parents, primarily mothers, in becoming effective contributors to their child’s education. Parents are central stake-holders to this mission and vital to the success of the school. NLC is a one-day school with a seven-day commitment where parents are encouraged to spend some time each day with their children to gain a better understanding of their studies and assist with their weekly assignments.

We understand that raising children is a difficult job. Educating them in a manner that is mentally, physically and spiritually balanced requires keen aptitude, persistence and determination. We at Nas Learning Center believe it is best for children to be naturally engaged and learning to love Islam. It should not be viewed as a boring school subject.

NLC has designed its curriculum to teach Islam as a way of life. Our primary focus is on the mothers since they are the closest people to the child on earth and the primary role models. We emphasize a balance between living and learning Islam. Ignorance is the greatest force working against each family and we believe that the light of true knowledge is the only weapon to dispel this darkness.
