To offer a family–oriented program of academic and practical Islamic education to the community and especially to the local Muslim youth, who are deprived of Islamic education in public schools. Parent participation is required and classes are offered for parents along with the children’s classes.

Proper recitation of the Holy Qur’an, correct pronunciation and tarteel according to the rules of tajweed.

Qur’anic comprehension should always accompany Qur’anic studies according to the level of understanding of each class.
Islamic Studies Objective
NLC offers a comprehensive study of Islam, starting at age 4, ending with high school graduation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Islamic Beliefs (‘Aqeedah, or Tawheed)
- The acts of worship
- The lawful and unlawful in behavior and transactions
- Stories from the Qur’an

- Studies of Qur’anic text selections
- Studies in Hadith and some Hadith memorization
- Islamic ethics and conduct
- Life of the Prophet (pbuh)
- Islamic History from the Pious Caliphs to the present
- Family life in Islam
- Leadership preparation and Da’wa
- Prayer practice (wudhu, adhan, recitation and prayer)
- Arts and crafts
